Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has identified three youngsters who have impressed him during the club’s pre-season training.

Who have been the three youngsters that have surprised me the most thus far? Ebrima Tunkara, Xavi Espart and Orian Goren have really impressed me during this training camp. They’re very high quality and they’re showing it every day,” Flick said.
Tunkara Impresses Flick
Among those identified by Flick was Ebrima Tunkara, a 16-year-old attacking midfielder who is considered as one of the young stars in Barcelona’s system. Tunkara has reportedly impressed at the training sessions so far, and is reportedly a player with good technical ability and attacking qualities despite his age.
The opportunity to continue to develop around the senior team could be an important one in his pre-season performances. Barcelona coach’s faith in the club’s youth system is also reflected in his willingness to sing the praises of the teenager in public.
Espart Pushing for Bigger Role
Xavi Espart has also been noticed by Flick for his senior-team experience last season. Barcelona’s full-back is likely to play a more significant part in the 2026/27 season, as the club continues to groom young talents to step up and perform at their best.
