The club have signed two players this summer, both from Real Madrid, Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios.
The two young Spaniards will meet their former Real Madrid coach Alvaro Arbeloa, who has replaced him at Fulham and has helped him make the move to the Premier League.
Gonzalo Garcia Joins Fulham for £34m
Gonzalo Garcia has been brought in from Real Madrid on a deal that is said to cost Fulham £34 million (€39.7m).
The 22-year-old striker has inked a five-year deal with the Cottagers, with Fulham also having a 12-month option on the deal.
Garcia will be Arbeloa’s first signing since he was appointed to replace the injured Jurgen Klopp at Fulham and the second permanent recruit of the summer since the club signed Jonah Kusi-Asare.
Garcia Reunites With Arbeloa
Garcia is a familiar figure to the Spaniard, as he previously served under him at Real Madrid last season.
Under Arbeloa and Xabi Alonso, the striker netted eight goals and added three assists in all competitions last season.
Garcia also made a splash at the 2025 Club World Cup, where he was one of the two top scorers with four goals.
He has now been given the chance to continue his development in the top-flight with Fulham.
Garcia Excited by Fulham Move
Garcia was pleased to have left and thanked the Fulham board and Arbeloa for their trust in him.
The Spaniard will now be looking to make a mark in the attacking department as he starts his first season in English football.
He also has a previous connection with Arbeloa which may help him settle in to Fulham’s system quickly.
Cesar Palacios Also Makes Fulham Switch
Garcia wasn’t the only Real Madrid player to depart on Monday, as the Premier League outfit also announced the signing of Cesar Palacios.
The 21-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year deal, with Fulham having the right to extend the contract for a further 12 months.
Palacios’ deal is said to be worth £8.5 million (€9.9m) and will make another attractive young signing for Fulham.
Arbeloa Builds Young Fulham Squad
The signing of Garcia and Palacios is a testament to Arbeloa’s desire to sign players he knows and trusts at Fulham.
Both youngsters have experience in Real Madrid’s system and will now have the opportunity to grow in the Premier League.
The double deal is a big move for Fulham as they prepare their team for the upcoming season.
Fulham Could Face Chelsea in Debut
Garcia and Palacios might make their competitive debuts for Fulham on August 24 as the Cottagers face London rivals Chelsea in the Premier League.
This fixture might thus be an early chance for both former Real Madrid players to make an impact in English football.
Fulham fans will be looking to the duo from Madrid to settle in and be a big part of the side at Craven Cottage soon, as they are already known to know their stuff.
