Real Madrid have announced their second signing of the day with midfielder César Palacios joining Premier League outfit Fulham.
Palacios follows Gonzalo García out of the door and both are now to continue their careers with former Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa at Craven Cottage.
César Palacios Joins Fulham
Palacios’ transfer to Fulham was confirmed on Monday by Real Madrid.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been through the club’s academy and broke through into the first team last season, making five La Liga appearances.
But with regular minutes likely to be hard to come by with José Mourinho at the helm for the 2026/27 season, Palacios was beginning to open up to the idea of developing his talents elsewhere.
Reunion With Álvaro Arbeloa
Palacios will now meet up with Arbeloa, who previously played with the midfielder at Real Madrid.
The Fulham boss had already brought Gonzalo García to west London earlier in the day and subsequently turned his attention towards another familiar face from the Spanish capital.
The way that Arbeloa understood Palacios’ abilities seems to have influenced Fulham’s decision to sign the academy player.

The deal was officially announced by Real Madrid via their social media, which marked Palacios’ departure from the club.
The Spanish giants wish the midfielder and his family a happy start as he starts the next phase of his career in England.
